I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and proud owner of Safe Nurturing Touch Massage.
I was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and moved around a lot as a child throughout the state of Connecticut, all this moving made my desire a city to call home, which I gained from marrying my husband, who is a Rockland native. I was involved in a volunteer work which took me to Fort Kent, Maine, when we met. We married in 1992 and I joined him in New York to continue our mutual love of philanthropic work.
We left New York because of health problems in 2000 that I incurred due to stress; this led me to the wonderful world of massage. I was so impressed by the improvement of my health as a result of massage. Massage has always been an intrinsic part of my life, within my circle I was known for my wonderful back and foot rubs. I was always told I had good hands. So it really was a natural progression for me to decide to learn the trade.
After 14 years of marriage while I was in school at Down East School of Massage, we were happily surprised to be pregnant. I graduated from Down East School of Massage in July of 2006 and had our son in September. We are both enjoying this new phase in our life together, raising our boys in Maine.
My life's work has always been about helping people. Massage is just another way that I can do this. I am always seeking new methods to help my clients with chronic pain and headaches. I originally specialized in sports and Swedish massage but thru the years I have continued to take classes in various modalities to further hone and expand my skills. I have been told that my kind heart and gentle spirit is reflected in my comforting touch.
